Harmoni Core Banking Transformation
A short contribution to the bank-wide move from an IBM mainframe to a new service-oriented core banking platform.
Context
Harmoni, led by OBSS, moved the bank’s core system from an IBM mainframe to a new service-oriented architecture: a Java/J2EE backend on Oracle and IBM DB2 with a Progressive Web App front end. The bank’s entire core system was migrated to the new platform.
What I did
- Contributed for a short period, implementing integrations between the fund pricing software and core banking endpoints.
- Quickly learned and applied Java, J2EE and Oracle DB alongside the .NET stack.
Outcome
- Fund pricing was integrated with the new core banking system without downtime.
